Yemen Chevening Hub Joins Chevening Scholars at London Orientation
A New Chevening Journey Begins
The Yemen Chevening Hub was pleased to be in attendance at the Chevening Orientation and Welcome Event at the ExCeL London Center on 18th October 2025, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for the incoming cohort of Chevening scholars. The Yemen Chevening Hub founder Anwar Futaih met face-to-face with Yemeni scholars and their peers from the Arab region to deliver encouragement and advice for their Chevening endeavor and future ambitions.
The visit was particularly significant in light of the Yemen Chevening Hub’s ongoing efforts to support and mentor aspiring Chevening applicants through programs such as the Chevening Guidance Project (CGP24) held last year. Out of 100 participants in this program, 16 were granted the Chevening Scholarship, 8 of whom are from Yemen. This number is a testament to the value of the Hub’s mentorship and guidance in helping candidates successfully pursue their studies in the UK.
The meeting was a wonderful opportunity to connect with, inspire, and celebrate the achievements of the new cohort while continuing to reinforce the Hub’s mission: To empower young leaders from Yemen and the Arab world to unlock their potential.
